I agree with Gwen. This was an inspiring ctairle. This reminds me that math can be fun, and good teachers like this are a great inspiration to the profession. I really loved the part about wearing colorful converse sneakers to class every day. When I was student teaching, I joked with some of my students to always pay attention. I might be inspired to wear 2 different color shoes to school one day.. and the first student to notice would get 3 tickets .. (reward bonus at the end of the week). From that day on, every student noticed my shoes and kept asking when I was going to wear different colors. This got their attention and I was able to joke with the students.
