I appreciate this link. I came across the name of Marc Brettler when reading the essays at the back of The Jewish Annotated New Testament. He was co-editor of that, as his bio in your link indicates, as well as of The Jewish Study Bible. It's strange to find he's so ubiquitous and yet I'd never heard him mentioned. He's also one of three associate editors of The New Oxford Annotated Bible NRSV.
