Dear Maggie,
I did just finish Rashi's daughter and have been fascinated all the way through.
All my primary and secondary education has been lubovitz and I am amazed at many of the things you write.
You mentioned you had a list of 250? References, would you be able to send me a copy as I would like to read about some things for myself.
I am looking forward to reading all of your blogs as I have only just read enough to be excited about finding it.
Looking forward to your reply.
I LOVED THE FIRST BOOK AND AM JUST STARTING THE SECOND.
WHEN AT 70 I WANTED TO LEARN TO LAY TEFILLAM I WAS ASKED ,"WHEN DID A WOMAN EVER DO THAT? THANKS TO YOU I REPLIED,"RASHI'S DAUGHTER DID!"
LIFE IS AN ONGOING ADVENTURE EDUCATIONALLY AND SPIRITUALLY.
MAGGIE,
WHAT IS A QUEER MAGAZINE? DID YOU PERHAPS MEAN GAY?
To answer Dee's question: my bibliography is located on my website, under the historical info tab.
For Sarah: Yes, queer is the preferred term for the umbrella of folks whose gender identity or sexual preference isn't "heterosexual." Otherwise known as GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender). Colleges now have "queer studies" programs to study their history. 'Gay' tends to refer to men only.
