I am sorry to hear about your loss. I recently lost my mother, and as I read your first book and the parts about death I was reminded of my own loss. May her memory be for a blessing, both your stepmother and my mother.
I read the entire book in two days. I can't wait to get my hands on the second! What a fascinating read. Thanks so much for all your hard work and bringing this awesome story to life for modern readers.

As an American, a non-Jew, and a first-time visitor to Israel, I was intrigued to discover your volumes in a Steimatzky bookstore on Dizengoff St in Tel Aviv. I immediately (July 15) purchased the first volume and have begun reading it. (I'll wait to get back to the States until purchasing the second, because the dollar is worthless here). Three of my many great passions are: Judaic studies, La France, and feminism. I was saddened to read your blog about the sudden death of your step-mother. Please be re-assured that total strangers (like me) can empafhise with your suffering (not that it makes it any better). Keep up the good work. You are a GREAT teacher. K. (The short version of my name means "yes" in Hebrew.)
