I loved the first book, am loving "Miriam" so I'm glad "Rachel" is on the way. I especially enjoy reading about Mainz and Worms as my father, a career army officer, did some research on the Jewish communities there when we lived in Heidelberg in the early 1960's. It is intriquing to see how the superstitious and the religious co-existed.
